Ministers at the Office of the Government
Aside from the Prime Minister, other members of the government serve at the Office of the Government who are not given corresponding ministries to manage at the time of their naming by the President of the Czech Republic. This is mainly with regard to deputy prime ministers if they are not currently a minister entrusted with the management of a specific ministry, and of other members of the government - the ministers without portfolio. The legal regulations in this regard are contained in Article 67, Paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Czech Republic, which states that the government is made up of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers, and in Article 68, Paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Czech Republic, which states that the Prime Minister is named by the President of the Czech Republic, and at whose suggestion the other members of the government are named and charged with the management of ministries or other authorities. The number of members of the government who are charged with the management of individual ministries is set by the number of ministries. As a rule, the overall number of members of the government is in principle proposed by the prime minister, who is charged by the president with the makeup of the new government.
