Executive Office
The Executive Office, headed by Mgr. Jakub Hodinář, is directly subordinated to the Minister for European Affairs. Its key activities include the following:
- preparation and coordination of the Minister’s work schedule;
- coordination of the preparation of reference materials;
- organization of communication with the media, other public administration authorities, and external entities.
European Affairs Section
The European Affairs Section, headed by Michal Sedláček, is responsible for coordination and analytical aspects related to the preparation of Czech positions for EU meetings. Moreover, this Section handled the content side of the preparations for the Czech Presidency of the EU Council.
European Affairs Information Department
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs also plays an informative role. The European Affairs Information Department, headed by Mgr. Gabriela ©vecová, provides information concerning issues of the European Union to the general public through an advanced information system (the so-called Integrated Information System) comprising of regional “Eurocenters” located throughout the Czech Republic, a toll-free telephone line “Eurofon” and also through its euroskop.cz web portal.
