Also this year, the Government Office will open its normally inaccessible buildings to the public

The popular Open Days of historical buildings managed by the Government Office will continue on selected weekends and public holidays in 2023. For the second year, the Straka Academy garden will also be open to the public on weekends.

The Open Days of the Government Office buildings will start on 1 May with tours of the Hrzán Palace and will end, as usual, on the public holiday of 17 November with the opening of the Kramář Villa. In total, fourteen opening days are planned, six of which will be held at the Kramář’s Villa and three each at the Liechtenstein and Hrzán Palace. The public will also be able to visit the Straka Academy on the public holidays of 28 September and 28 October.

The popular Saturday tours of the Straka Academy garden will also continue. For the first time this year, the renovated garden will open to visitors on 6 May, with the last opening scheduled for 14 October.

“The Open Days of the Government Office have already become a nice and popular tradition with the public. I am glad that we will continue it this year and that we will allow thousands more people to see the normally inaccessible premises that serve the representative and working purposes of the Government and the Prime Minister, as well as our beautifully renovated garden of the Straka Academy,” said Jana Kotalíková, Head of the Government Office.

Tours of the buildings will take place from 9am to 4pm, the garden will open at 10am and close at 6pm.
