Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka honours victims of the Brussels terrorist attacks at a vigil at the Belgian Embassy

Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka paid tribute to the victims of the Brussels terrorist attacks by laying flowers and lighting a candle at the Belgian Embassy in Prague. He also extended his personal condolences to Belgian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Mrs Françoise Gustin and added his signature to the condolence book.

Already yesterday, Sobotka sent a telegram of solidarity and condolence to Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel. “Many people in Belgium today are mourning the loss of their loved ones, caused by the blind violence of terrorism. I resolutely condemn this brutal and inhumane act. Terrorism represents a threat to the entire international community, and it is also an attack on the basic values of freedom and democracy that all European countries share, the Czech prime minister said in his statement of condolence.
