Prime Minister Sobotka introduced the new Director of the National Security Authority (NSA) and the new Government Commissioner for cyber security

On Wednesday 1 February, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka introduced Jiři Lang as Director of the National Security Authority at the NSA headquarters and Dušan Navrátil as Government Commissioner for cyber security.

The Government approved the appointment of both these experts to their functions in December 2016. Between 2003 and 2016, Jiří Lang served as Director of the Security Information Service and, during the period from September 2006 to May 2007 he was also Director of the Office for Foreign Relations and Information. From 2006 to the present time, Dušan Navrátil was Director of the National Security Authority and was closely involved in expanding the NSA’s activities in the area of cyber security.
