Premier Mirek Topolánek To Meet the Foreign Ministers

Tomorrow, on Thursday, October 25, 2007, Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek of the Czech Republic will be attending an informal meeting with the Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad 4 member countries and the Republic of Moldova.

Polish Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga and Hungarian Foreign Minister Kinga Gõncz, Foreign Ministers Ján Kubiš of the Slovak Republic and Karel Schwarzenberg of the Czech Republic, Deputy Premier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Andrei Stratan will meet to discuss current foreign-policy issues and possibilities of promoting cooperation. This is the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers within the Czech presidency of the V4 Group.

At present, the Republic of Moldova is chairman of the Central European Initiative and is ready to brief its partners, inter alia, on the priorities of Moldova´s presidency.

The meeting will be held in the Hrzánský Palace, Loretánská 177/9, Prague 1, beginning at 4.30 p.m.
