State Security Council Meeting

Tomorrow, on May 22, 2007, a State Security Council meeting will be held in the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, at nábřeží Edvarda Beneše 4, Prague 1, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The key item on its agenda is the Status report on the reform of the Czech Republic’s armed forces. Its purpose is to brief the State Security Council and subsequently the Government on the implementation of the objectives and tasks of the Policy of Building a Professional Army of the Czech Republic. Members of the State Security Council will also hear a Status report on migration in the territory of the Czech Republic for 2006, and Information on the fulfillment of the tasks ensuing from the Action Plan to fight illegal migration for 2006.

There will be no press briefing after the State Security Council meeting, only a press release will be published.
