Jan Hrubeš is new Government Spokesman

The government of Petr Nečas today appointed Jan Hrubeš to the position of Government Spokesman. He has been Director of the Press Department at the Office of the Government since 5th April.

Forty-one year old Hrubeš has worked since 1997 as an editor, reporter and news editor for Czech Television. For over ten years he has also been a presenter of news programmes on ČT1 and ČT24. He began his career in 1992 in commercial radio.

Former Government Spokesman Michal Schuster is leaving at his own request to pursue university academic activities. He previously lectured on media communications and presentation skills.
