Statement by Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek on the Jiří Čunek Case

“I am greatly alarmed by the information concerning violations of the independence of investigators and state prosecuting attorneys in the matter of Jiří Čunek, which eventually led the Attorney General to make the announced changes. I will require a thorough investigation of all the mistakes and eventual pressures brought to bear by politicians associated with the past governments.“
