Government Commissioner for the Reconstruction of Ukraine

(under the Office of the Government)

On 11 January 2023, the Government created the post of Government Commissioner for Reconstruction of Ukraine by Resolution No. 29, who will coordinate the assistance that state and non-state actors are and will continue to provide to Ukraine during and after the Russian aggression. The Czech Republic is very interested in helping the devastated country with its post-war reconstruction, focusing primarily on the Dnipropetrovsk region. At the same time, he will represent the Czech Republic in international negotiations on the support and reconstruction of Ukraine. He will also chair the Czech part of the permanent working group for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be established within the Czech-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific and Technological Cooperation.

At the same time, the Government appointed Tomáš Kopecký as Government Commissioner with effect from 11 January 2023.
