Pavel Dvořák

Head of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic from 29th January 2014.

Personal details

Ing. Pavel Dvořák was born on 29 May 1967 in Vyškov. He is married and has two daughters.

Education

After completing his studies at Vyškov Grammar School in 1985, he took a four-year course in the Department of Mechanical Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Ostrava.

Professional and public activity

From 1989 until 1996, he worked in turn as a technologist, designer and project engineer at První brněnská strojírna Brno, a.s., which was transformed in 1993 into ABB První brněnská strojírna Brno, s.r.o.

From February 1996 until December 1999, he worked in turn as a systems engineer and project manager in ABB Power Plant Control, s.r.o., which was transformed in 1999 into ABB Energo, s.r.o. In 1996, he underwent a ten-month secondment in ABB KWL Mannheim. He has also worked in Mladá Boleslav and in Kladno.

Since January 2000, he has held the office of Secretary of the Town Council in Slavkov u Brna.

Since June 2011, he has been a member of the National Presidium of the Association of Secretaries of Town and Municipal Councils (ASTMC) and Chairman of the ASTMC for the South Moravian Region.
