Ing. Dana Bérová

Member of the ECG, Minister of Informatics

Ms Dana Berova has worked at the Ministry of Informatics since January 2003. As Head of the e-Government Section and Deputy Minister she was responsible for projects using information technologies in public administration (such as the Public Administration Portal) and for international cooperation, particularly in relation to the European Union. In April 2005 she was appointed Minister of Informatics to the new Government. In 1990 Dana Berova graduated from the Prague School of Economics in the field of automated control systems. In 1987-1989 she did interdisciplinary studies in the Department of Journalism of Charles University. Dana Berova formerly worked as a manager, a specialist in media and television companies, and consultant. She was an editor in Czechoslovak and Czech Television, in the period 1994-1997 economic director managing the property of Karel Schwarzenberg, from 2000 to 2002 programme director for the regional television station TV 3. She jointly owns a trading company, Sanu Babu spol. s.r.o., importing merchandise from India and Nepal. Dana Berova speaks English, German and Russian. She is married and has one son.
