The Section for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union is managed by Jana Hendrichová, the State Secretary. She coordinates the activities of the various departments within the Section for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and is accountable for their operations to the Vice Prime Minister for European Affairs. As the head of the Section for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union, she directly manages the directors of the individual departments. These departments include: |
LOGISTICS AND ORGANIZATION DEPARTMENT
This department is headed by Radomír Karlík. The director coordinates the programme for the preparation and holding of the presidency, as well as the schedule of presidency-related events. He also coordinates the preparations for the session of ministers from EU Member States and meetings at a lower political level, technical level and expert level, plus the side programme. BUDGET AND PUBLIC PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT
This department is headed by David Mlíčko.This department manages the section’s central budget for events held in the Czech Republic and for selected events abroad. The department is also responsible for organizational matters and award procedures for suppliers to cover all congress and conference services and other services connected with the central coordination of the presidency. COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT
Members of staff from the first unit prepared and implemented the concept and strategy of media coverage and publicity for the Czech Presidency, and also prepared material documentation for the selection of suppliers. The aim of the second unit was to provide the public with lucid, intelligible information about the European Union. More information about the Communications Department.
