Personal Information
Born 6th February 1960 in Žatec.
Education
1979 and 1983: Graduated from the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague. Later earned the title of Candidate of Sciences at the same university.
Professional and Public Activities
1983 to 1986: Worked in animal husbandry at the Tečovice agricultural cooperative.
In 1986 and 1990: Special assistant at the Milk Production Department of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague.
1990 to 1996: Manager at Agrotec Hustopeče, Agrotrade, a.s.
From 1996 to 2001: Held the position of Ambassador’s Counsellor in Washington and Bratislava.
For short period in 2001: Consultant in Becker – Poliakoff Consulting.
2002 to 2006: Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
2006 to 2007: Manager at Agrotrade, a.s.
2007 to 2013: Led the Czech Republic Federation of Food and Drink Industries as its President.
