Strategic Paper on EU Affairs Communication in the Czech Republic for 2013 approved

On 6th February 2013, the Committee for EU of the Czech Government approved the Strategic Paper on EU Affairs Communication in the Czech Republic for 2013, which sets out the governmental communication priorities in the field of European affairs.

The paper is based on the priorities of the EU Institutions, which were adapted to the concrete conditions in the Czech Republic, taking in account also the outcomes of a dedicated public opinion survey. Informing will focus on issues concerning the competitive Internal Market and economic recovery, European Year of Citizens 2013 and EU funds.

Office of the Government of the Czech Republic will provide this information in cooperation with respective coordinators and partners of the European Affairs Information Department. It will make use of the Integrated Information System established by the Government of the Czech Republic, which comprises of the portal www.euroskop.cz, free telephone line Eurofon 800 200 200 and 13 regional Eurocentres.

Communication priorities for 2013 are:

a) Competitive Internal Market and economic recovery;

i) Development of the Internal Market and implementation of the Europe 2020

Strategy

ii) Future Multiannual Financial Framework

iii) EU Economic Governance

b) European Year of Citizens 2013;

i) Implementation of EU citizens´ rights

ii) Participation of citizens in the Union decision-making and European elections

2014

iii) Discussion on benefits and future of the European integration

c) EU Funds
