Turkish Minister for EU Affairs visited the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic

The subject of mutual consultations became inter alia the EU enlargement issue or the matter of visa liberalization. The Turkey´s geopolitical importance is on the increase and also it´s economic situation is improving. Egemen Bagis positively appraised the approach of the Czech Republic to the enlargement process and to the Turkish effort to join the EU. Both sides are also convinced that the active attitude of Štefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, is helping the progress of negotiations with the candidate countries.
