Annual Fora

The Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region is organized every year. It is an opportunity for stakeholders who coordinate the Strategy or projects to discuss the problems and progress of the Strategy´s implementation. Thanks to the annual forum, participants can exchange best practices and identify further opportunities for cooperation. The Annual Forum is organised by the rotating presidency of the Strategy. The outputs of the forum bring commitments for the members of the Strategy, and they also shape the future orientation and the way of implementation of the Strategy in the following year.

The 5th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy (3. a 4. November 2016, Bratislava)

The 5th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region was jointly organised by the European Commission and the Slovak Republic on 3 and 4 November 2016.

The forum entitled "Innovative Flows - Water, Knowledge and Innovation in the Danube Region" focused on water management and research and innovation in the Danube region. The participants had the opportunity to discuss the results and future of the strategy.  

 

Výroční fórum Ulm

4th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (29 - 30 October 2015, Ulm, Germany)

The 4th Annual Forum was organized in the City of Ulm (Germany) under the title  “Smart, social, sustainable - Innovation for the Danube Region“. The forum put a strong emphasis on topics such as innovation, professional training and dual education, entrepreneurship and civil society as key factors for a sustainable and integrative growth in the Danube Region. Several thematic sessions will give the participants of the conference the opportunity to take a closer look at the complex mechanisms that should be put together on a political, project and funding level in order to profit largely of the potential of a macro-regional strategy. 

 

Výroční fórum ve Vídni

3rd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region ( 26. – 27. June 2014 ,  Vienna)

3rd Annual Forum under the overall title “We grow together – together we grow – Empowered for a prosperous and inclusive Danube Region” was organized in the City of Vienna. The main theme of the forum was inclusion and sustainable growth. There was a strong focus on the topics: inclusive, sustainable growth as a focus and prerequisite of prosperity, multi-stakeholder European policies for an integrated and competitive Danube Region and governance as a criterion of success for the EUSDR.

 

Výroční fórum Bukurešť

The 2nd Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (28. – 29. October 2013, Bucharest)

The 2nd Annual Forum took place in Bucharest in October 2013. The title of the forum was „Danube Region - stronger together, stronger in the world" that referred to the need for closer cooperation to address common challenges. The publication of the 1st  report on the implementation of the Strategy and the crucial stage of the negotiations for the future programmes in the period 2014-2020 shaped the debates among decision-makers from business, politics, international organisations and civil society coming from all over the Danube Region. 

 

Výroční fóraum v Řezně

The 1st Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (27. – 28. November 2012, Regensburg) 

The first Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region entitled "How can the Danube Region help to have a more competitive Europe" took place in Regensburg in November 2012. The forum was a good occasion to take stock of the development since the launch of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region in 2011. The conference also encouraged a reflection on the potential contribution of the macro-regional perspective to Europe's growth. The agenda provided an opportunity to consider how the Strategy can play its part in the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, and the Strategy's links with the new programming period for the EU Structural Funds (2014-2020).
