On Friday 31st January 2014 Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka met the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

During a formal lunch at the Lichtenstein Palace he pointed out the significance of the opening of the Armenia Embassy in Prague three years ago and the setting up of the Czech Embassy in Yerevan. “I am certain that the recent opening of both representative offices has contributed to the development of the mutual relations between our countries,” the Czech Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Sobotka and the Armenian President agreed to improve economic cooperation between the countries. Development of mutual relations should be aided by an Agreement on Economic and Industrial Collaboration between the Czech government and the Armenian government, which was signed on the occasion of the Armenian President’s visit to Prague.
