Prime Minister Sobotka thanked the German Ambassador Freytag von Loringhoven for his friendly tenure of office in the Czech Republic, at Kramář Villa on 29 November 2016.
On Tuesday of 29 November 2016 at the Kramář Villa, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka received the fully-accredited Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany A. F. Freytag von Loringhoven. Prime Minister Sobotka thanked the retiring German Ambassador for his two-year term of office and the high level of cooperation which has significantly contributed to further enhancement of Czech-German relations.

The Ambassador Arndt Freiherr Freytag von Loringhoven has vigorously promoted the deepening of Czech-German relations. He contributed to the opening of a Czech-German strategic dialogue, seen to be most dynamically developing in the area of science and research. Within the framework of this dialogue were established more intensive contacts of the Czech research institutions with the German Fraunhofer company, the largest institution for applied research in Europe. The joint Czech-German efforts to heighten the dialogue resulted in the visit of Chancellor Angela Merkel in the Czech Republic in August this year.
