16 January 2020: PM Andrej Babiš is to meet at Kramář Villa with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz

At the invitation of the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will be visiting the Czech Republic on Thursday 16 January 2020. The topics of the bilateral talks with the Austrian chancellor will primarily be transport infrastructure, the defence industry, the energy sector and the EU agenda.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz's visit to the Czech Republic is his first foreign visit since being appointed to the function, which took place 7 January 2020.

PM Andrej Babiš last visited Austria in autumn of 2019, when he attended a Czech Philharmonic concert to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain and met with the Austrian chancellor at the time, Brigitte Bierlein.
