April 11 - 14, 2008: Premier To Visit Greece and Cyprus

On Friday, April 11, 2008, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek leaves for an official visit to Greece and the Republic of Cyprus. While in Athens the Czech Premier will be received by Greek President Karol Papulias, and will also have talks with his Greek counterpart Kostas Karamanlis and Dimitris Siufas, Chairman of the Greek Parliament. A wreath-laying ceremony at the Memorial To Unknown Soldier will also be part of the programme of the visit to Greece.

On Saturday, April 12, 2008 the Czech Government delegation, led by Mirek Topolánek, will leave Greece for Cyprus. In Larnaka, the Czech Premier will hold talks with President Demetris Christofias of the Republic of Cyprus, and Chairman of the House of Representatives Marios Garoyian. Mirek Topolánek will also visit the Cypriot Economic Chamber to open a seminar for businessmen from both countries. While visiting the Mediterranean Institute of Management, the Czech Prime Minister will deliver a lecture and have a discussion with students. The Czech delegation will end its official visit in the evening on Monday April 14 when it will return home.
