April 18, 2008: Working Visit to Albania

On Friday, April 18, 2008 Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek will visit the Republic of Albania. He will meet his Albanian counterpart Sali Berisha and Chairman of the country’s Parliament Jozefina Topalli. He will be also received by President Bamir Topi of Albania. When visiting the Albanian Chamber of Commerce, Premier Mirek Topolánek will open a meeting of businessmen from both countries.

His bilateral talks will centre on Albania’s efforts for integration into the Euro-Atlantic and European structures, endeavours the Czech Republic has been supporting on a long-term basis. Another subject under discussion will be the priorities of the Czech presidency of the Council of the European Union, the issue of Kosovo and the current situation in the Western Balkans.
