April 21, 2008: Invitation To Multimedia Presentation “Great Egyptian Museums: One of the Highlights of the World Cultural Projects of the 21. C

The Czech Institute of Egyptology of the Faculty of Philosophy (Arts) of Prague’s Charles University and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic take pleasure in cordially inviting you to a multimedia presentation by Dr. Mohammed Ghoneim, the General Coordinator of the project Great Egyptian Museums (GEM), and Professor Yasser Mansour, the General Secretary of the ´s Technical Committee of the GEM project, called “Great Egyptian Museums: One of the Highlights of the World Cultural Projects of the 21st Century“.

The presentation, given in English, will be held in the Golden Hall of the Lichtenštejnský Palace in Prague on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, beginning at 5 p.m. The event is part of an exhibition entitled "Discovering Ancient Egypt“, held - under the aegis of Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek - to mark the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Czech Institute of Egyptology. The exhibition, which is open to the public free of charge until April 27, 2008, has been seen to date by some 2,300 visitors.
