Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek to Meet José Manuel Barroso, Chairman of the European Commission

Their talks will focus, for instance, on the preparation of strategic documents on drawing money from the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund in 2007, the Czech position on the current stage of multilateral negotiations of the World Trade Organization, possible sanctions by the European Commission on the Czech Republic for its excessive supplies of agricultural and food products, the issue of the seat of the European Satellite and Navigation Agency Galileo in Prague, as well as the course of preparations for the Berlin Declaration and the question of the European Union’s institutional reform.

The meeting will be held in the Barlaymont building in Brussels, starting at 1:00 p.m.

A press conference will be held after the negotiations, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
