December 9, 2008: Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic and Malta to Meet for Talks, Press Conference at 11:30 a.m.

Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek will welcome Prime Minister Lawrence Gonza of the Republic of Malta at a ceremony in the garden of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Their subsequent talks will focus primarily on summarizing the priorities of the Czech EU presidency, on economic cooperation between the two countries, the European pact on migration and asylum, on the Middle East peace process, and the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty.
A press conference will be preceded by the official signing of an implementing protocol between the Czech Republic and Malta. The document will be signed by the Czech Minister of Education, Youth and Physical Training Ond?ej Liška and Foreign Minister Tonio Borg of the Republic of Malta in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries.
