January 10, 2008:Czech and Polish Premiers To Discuss Current Issues,Press Conference at 10:50 a.m.

On Thursday, January 10, 2008, Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek of the Czech Republic will meet his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk for talks. The two Premiers will discuss primarily further promotion of mutual relations, possibilities of economic and investment cooperation, and energy security. Another issue under discussion will be the antimissile defence system, and location of its elements in both countries.

The meeting will be preceded by a welcoming ceremony to be held in the garden of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic.

During his official one-day visit to the Czech Republic, the Polish Premier will be also received by President Václav Klaus, Mr. Přemysl Sobotka, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloslav Vlček, Chairman of the House of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.
