June 19-20, 2008: Premier to Attend the EU Summit

On June 19 and 20, 2008, Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek will be attending the European Union summit meeting in Brussels.

Its agenda includes primarily joint search for a solution to the current situation in the European Union following the Irish referendum that rejected the Lisbon Treaty. The European heads of state and government will also discuss the record high prices of such key commodities as food and fuels. They will also deal with Slovakia´s planned entry into the eurozone or the future of the region of Western Balkans.
