March 18, 2008: Czech and Lithuanian Premiers To Discuss Energy Security; Press Conference at 5:20 p.m.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2008, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will receive the visiting Premier Gediminas Kirkilas of the Republic of Lithuania.

Following a welcoming ceremony in the garden of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, both Premiers will meet for talks on the current status and possibilities of future developments of bilateral relations, on current foreign policy issues, energy and energy security. The Republic of Lithuania is the largest Baltic country and a major partner of the Czech Republic. Czech-Lithuanian relations have increased since both countries´ accession to the European Union and NATO.
