May 15, 2008: Official Visit to Colombia

On Thursday, May 15, 2008, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will continue his official visit to Colombia. Reception by Colombian President Álvaro Uribe Vélez will be followed by the signing of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the power and mining sector and on environmental protection. During his meeting with Samuel Moreno Rojas, the Mayor of Bogotá, the Czech Premier will be named a guest of honour of the capital and will be given a symbolic key to the city. Another item on the programme of the visit will be talks with Nancy Patricia Gutierréz, President of the Senate and Chairwoman of both chambers of the Colombian Parliament, and attendance at a forum for businessmen from the two countries. In the afternoon, the Czech Government delegation, headed by Premier Mirek Topolánek, will leave for Peru.
