May 22, 2008: European Nuclear Forum Held Under the Aegis of Czech Premier; Press Conference at 3:30 p.m.

Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek together with the visiting President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso and Slovak Premier Robert Fico will inaugurate the second session of the European Nuclear Forum in Prague on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. The Forum is organized by the European Commission in conjunction with the Czech and Slovak government authorities, and its sessions are hosted alternately by Prague and Bratislava. This week´s meeting, held under the auspices of Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek, will be held in Prague’s Èernínský Palace on May 22 and 23. Leading politicians from many EU member states, representatives of EU institutions, officials of energy companies as well as consumer and non-governmental organizations will be discussing the opportunities and risks posed by nuclear energy.
