November 4 - 5, 2008:Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek To Attend Meeting of Premiers of the Visegrad Group Countries in Warsaw

On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will be attending a regular session of the Premiers of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries.

The Premiers of the Baltic countries will join them for the second part of the meeting. The key topics under debate will be coordination of positions and an exchange of views before Friday’s special EU Summit in Brussels, energy and current foreign-policy issues. 

On the eve of the official negotiations on Tuesday, November 4, Premier Mirek Topolánek will have a working supper with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk, the current chairman of the V4 Group. Their bilateral talks will be focused primarily on coordinating activities between the V4 Group and the Czech Republic’s forthcoming EU presidency.
