Oct 15 - 16, 2008: Premier To Attend the European Council Meeting in Brussels

On October 15 and 16, 2008, a delegation of the Czech Republic, led by Premier Mirek Topolánek, will be attending a two-day summit meeting of the European Union in Brussels.
The highest representatives of the EU member states will be discussing current issues, primarily the financial crisis, the European Union’s approach to climate changes and the Lisbon Treaty. As part of his working programme, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will be holding bilateral talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, French President Nicholas Sarkozy and other European politicians.
