Premier To Visit Central Asian Countries

The key topic of journey is promotion of mutual cooperation, e.g. in the field of power generation and energy in general

In the evening on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek leaves for an official visit to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

On Thursday, February 12, the Premier will be in Astana holding talks with Prime Minister Karim Massimov and President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan.

On Friday, February 13, Mirek Topolánek will be visiting Turkmenistan. His working agenda in Ashkhabad includes reception by President Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov of Turkmenistan, talks with the country’s Energy Minister Takhberdy Tegiev and Foreign Minister Rasheed Meredov. In the afternoon, the Czech government delegation will leave for Baku. Staying in the capital of Azerbaijan, the Czech Prime Minister will meet his Azerbaijani counterpart Artur Rasizm and President Ilham Aliyev.
