Reception of a Group of Belarusian Trainees

On Monday, June 25, 2007, Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek of the Czech Republic will receive a group of Belarusian trainees who are studying in the Czech Republic within a project of the Association for International Questions – Pavel Tigrid´s Research Fellowships II.

The trainees who cannot study in Belarus due to political reasons come from different professions (teacher, medical specialist, political analyst etc.). They are in the Czech Republic on a three-month educational stay aimed at enabling them to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge on the functioning of civic society.

During the meeting the Czech Premier will explain to his guests the Czech Republic’s stance on the situation in Belarus as well as his personal views of the transformation of the Czech Republic towards democracy.

The meeting will be held in the Kramářova; Villa, Gogolova 1, Prague 1, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
