Tomáš Vrbík Head of Prime Minister's advisory team

The new Head of the Prime Minister's advisory team is the former Deputy Minister for the Environment Tomáš Vrbík. He has replaced Martin Říman, who has resigned.

Born 15th January 1973 in Litoměřice in northern Bohemia. Married with one daughter.

Studied at the Secondary Chemical Industrial School and then at the Charles University Faculty of Arts, Dept. of Andragogy

From 1992-1994 worked in the press section of the ODS Head Office, then in 1995 in the Office Czech Parliament as assistant to the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In 1996-1998 and 2000-2003 he worked in advertising and public relations in the private sector.

In 1994 and 1998 elected a member of the City Council and then Councillor for Prague 2, from 1998 to 2002 also member of the City Council for the city of Prague (from 1998-1999 full-time Chairman of the Audit Committee). In 2003 became an MP and served as a member of the Constitutional and Legal Committee and the Committee for Security and Defence, as well as a member of the Special Committee for Czech constitutional issues, and the Permanent Committee for the media.

In the government of Mirek Topolánek, served from 2006 as Director of the Finance Minister's Office and from 2007 as Director of the Deputy Interior Minister's Office for public administration, information science, legislation and archiving, where he was involved in particular in implementing e-government projects. From 2009 he has been the Head of the Political Section of the ODS Head Office. On 14.7.2010 he was appointed Director of the Office of the Ministry of the Environment and since 1.10.2010 has been the Deputy Minister.

From 1991 to 1997 was a member of the Civic Democratic Party, of which has been a member again since 2009. From 1998-2004 a member of the Freedom Union.
