Conference on Accessibility of University Education in the Context of Disablement

Government Board for People with Disabilities organizes a national conference in the Lichtenstein Palace in Prague on 12 October 2010.

 

The conference is held under the auspices of Mr. Petr Nečas, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the Chairman of the Government Board for People with Disabilities.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Council of Higher Education Institutions, the Government Board for People with Disabilities and the Union of Employers Associations of the Czech Republic are co-organizers of the conference.

Conference on Accessibility of University Education in the Context of DisablementThe initiator of the conference was the Expert Group for Education which works under the Government Board for People with Disabilities. The work of the expert group is focused, among other things, on the preparation of systemic changes in the accessibility of the tertiary education for people with disabilities. The expert group worked out the Strategy of Making the University Education more Accessible to People with Disabilities, which was adopted by the Government Board for People with Disabilities on its session on 27 May 2010.

The purpose of the conference is to initiate targeted and systemic dialogue between subjects which should be actively involved in making the university education more accessible to people with disabilities.
