Jiří Rusnok

Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the pension fund ING PF, a. s.

Jiří Rusnok graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Public Administration of the University of Economics in Prague. He began his professional career in the Long-Term Forecasting Department of the Czech State Planning Commission, before going on to work at the Federal Ministry for Strategic Planning and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Subsequently, he was then engaged at the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions, where he worked for six years as an adviser and as the Head of the Social and Economic Department.

From August 1998 he took up the post of Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, and from April 2001 to July 2002 he served as the Minister of Finance of the Czech Republic, after which until March 2003 he was the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. He is currently the President of the Association of Pension Funds of the Czech Republic and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of ING PF, a.s. From 2006 to 2009 he was the Chairman of the Financial Market Committee, an advisory body to the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank. Since 2009 he has been the President of the Council for Public Audit Oversight.
