How to take the opportunity of Norway grants

Last Thursday, 20 March 2014, the Eurocentre Prague hosted a seminar dedicated to the so called Norway grants and the EEA (European Economic Area) grants.

The aim of these grants, established in 2004 by Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein, is to reduce social and economic disparities in the EEA and to strengthen bilateral relations with countries of Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, which are member states of both the EU and the EEA. The Norway grants are funded solely by Norway, whereas contributions to the EEA grants are split between Norway, which provides 95% of the funds, and Iceland and Lichtenstein. The goals and priorities of both grants are very much the same.

General overview about the EEA and Norway grants was provided by Helena Benýšková from the Norwegian Embassy in Prague. Katarína Kukurová from the Centre of International Cooperation (Dům zahraničních služeb) offered details about opportunities for financing projects in the field of educational cooperation.
