Prime Minister Babiš attended the Globsec Forum in Bratislava

On Saturday, 8 June 2019, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček attended the 14th GLOBSEC Security Conference in Bratislava.

In Bratislava, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš first spoke in a panel discussion on Forbes Global Under 30. He spoke about the start of his business and introduced the Czech Republic as a promising market for investment. During his visit to Bratislava, the Czech Prime Minister met with Forbes US editor Randall Lan and Forbes publishers for the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia Peter Barecz and Erik Conrad.

Andrej Babiš met with his Slovak counterpart Petr Pellegrini. “Prime Minister Pellegrini and I discussed the negotiation of positions within the Union before the European Council. But now it is not appropriate to talk about specific names” said Czech Prime Minister after the talks with the Slovak Prime Minister. After the joint meeting, the two prime ministers launched a panel discussion on Vision for Europe, dedicated to the future of the EU.

The Czech Prime Minister spoke at the GLOBSEC conference on common European objectives. “It is necessary to find the right candidates for key positions in the EU. For V4 countries, the new EU institutions must be geographically fair” said Andrej Babiš about the Czech Republic’s priorities in the future of European policy.

The GLOBSEC conference was attended, for example, by the EU Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, US Senator Ron Johnson, Serbian President Alexander Vucic, Forbes founder Steven Forbes, Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg, Slovak President Andrej Kiska and many other guests.
