Ceremonial Conveyance of the Former Federal Assembly Building to the National Museum

Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will on Friday, 1 December 2006, attend the ceremonial conveyance of the building of the former Federal Assembly to the National Museum.

During the ceremony of conveyance, which will be attended, among others, by Minister of Culture Martin Štěpánek and prominent figures of political and cultural life, the Prime Minister will deliver to the director of the National Museum, Mr. Michal Lukeš, Resolution of the Government No 1342 of 22 November 2006, whereby the Government transferred, free of charge, the building of the former Federal Assembly in Prague to the National Museum.

The ceremony will take place at the Pantheon of the National Museum, Václavské náměstí 68, Praha 1, at 02.00 p.m., with a short speech delivered by the Prime Minister.

Journalists are expected to appear no later than 20 minutes before the beginning.
