Traditional Christmas in the Liechtenstein Palace

Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will on Saturday, 16 December 2006, attend the solemn opening of “Traditional Christmas in the Liechtenstein Palace”, an event organised by the Office of the Czech Republic Government.

As part of the solemn opening of the event, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech and will view an exhibition of Christmas crèches made by children from children’s homes, an exhibition of casket crèches held in ethnic collections of the National Museum in Prague, and an exhibition of the work of students of the Glass, Ceramic and Porcelain, Metal and Jewellery studios of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.

The event will take place in the Liechtenstein Palace, U Sovových mlýnů 4, Praha 1, Malá Strana, Kampa, at 02.00 p.m.

Journalists are expected to appear no later than 15 minutes before the beginning.
