Meeting of the State Security Council (SSC)

A meeting of this country’s State Security Council (SSC), attended by Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek of the Czech Republic, will be held tomorrow, on Tuesday, April 3, 2007. The meeting will take place in the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, nábøeží Edvarda Beneše 4, Prague 1, starting at 9:00 a.m.

strakovka rytinaThe State Security Council meeting will focus on two items on its agenda - “Concept for the preparation of the Czech health care system for crisis management“ and a “Report on the drafting and implementation of systematic measures to prevent undesirable situations arising from illicit handling of chemical substances and waste“. Both topics respond to the contemporary shortcomings identified in those sectors, and contain measures to be launched with SSC consent to eliminate them.
Members of the State Security Council will also be briefed, inter alia, on the “Status Report on Public Law and Order and Internal Security in 2006“, “Draft Measures to Improve the National System Monitoring the Disposal of Selected Risk Commodities“, “Status Report of the National Security Authority for 2006“ and a document on the current status of security precautions against cybercrime in the Czech Republic.
