Czech Government Meeting

The Government of the Czech Republic will meet on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in the premises of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, nábøeží Edvarda Beneše 4, Praha 1, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The Government will discuss, among other issues, the following documents: National Plan for the Introduction of the Euro in the Czech Republic, Proposal for financial provisions and personnel reinforcement of the central authorities and other bodies of state administration in 2007 in connection with the preparations for the Czech Republic’s presidency of the European Council, Bill changing some laws in connection with the Czech Republic’s entry into the Schengen space, Bill changing Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the residence of aliens in the territory of the Czech Republic and on changes to some laws, as amended by later regulations, Act No. 325/1999 Coll., on asylum and on a change to Act No. 283/1991 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended by later regulations, (Asylum Act), as amended by later regulations, and some other laws, Draft Government Regulation changing some Government Regulations on support of housing, and Draft Government Regulation changing the Government Regulation No. 242/2004 Coll., on the terms of implementing measures in support of functions of agriculture (other than productive) consisting in the protection of individual elements of the environment (on the implementation of agroenvironmental measures), as amended by later regulations.
The Government will also be briefed, among other topics, on the status of preparations for and construction of the D 47 motorway, and the course of a campaign against racism – Tolerance Project in 2006.
