Meeting of the Government of the Czech Republic

Meeting of the Government of the Czech Government will be held in the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, nábřeží Edvarda Beneše 4, Prague 1, on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The Government will discuss, among other topics, the following documents: Information on the Implementation of the Government’s Policy Statement, Bill changing some laws and modifying environmental taxes in connection with the stabilization of the country’s public budgets, Long-Term Plan for Education and the Development of the Schooling System in the Czech Republic, Status Report on Human Rights in the Czech Republic in 2006, Prolongation of Uranium Mining in the Rožná Deposit in the Locality Dolní Rožínka, Establishment of the “Commission for Settling State-Church Relations and Relations with Religious Societies" and Bill changing Act No. 22/2004 Coll., on local referendum and on change to some laws, as amended by Act No. 234/2006 Coll., Act No. 128/2000 Coll., on communities (Communal Structure), as amended by later regulations, and Act No. 131/2000 Coll., on the Capital City of Prague, as amended by later regulations.

The Government will also be briefed, among other subjects, on the development of inflation - April 2007, and the course of the campaign against racism – Project Tolerance in 2006.
