Prime Minister to Visit Masaryk University Campus in Brno

Tomorrow, on Thursday, October 4, 2007, Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek of the Czech Republic will visit the campus of the Masaryk University v Brno-Bohunice.

The Premier will be greeted by the Rector of the University, Mr. Petr Fiala, who will accompany him on a visit to the campus library. The Prime Minister will then be shown how the results of a development project in decontamination technology are applied in practice. He will also see some of the laboratories where the project was solved and will meet scientists, students and journalists.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will meet scientists for discussion on the subject “Government support and plans in the field of science, research and innovation“, a priority area for both the Premier and the current government policy.

Programme:
2.00 p.m. - visit to the Library in the university campus, Kamenice 5, Brno-Bohunice

2.25 p.m. - introduction to the decontamination technology project, seminar room 2.11.,laboratories on the second and third floor

3.50 p.m. - press briefing

4.10 p.m. - discussion with scientists on the topic “Government support and plans in the field of science, research and innovation“, pavilion A3, conference room 1.17
