On 29 October 2007, a three-day international academic conference was opened on Karel Kramář (1860 - 1937), organized under the aegis of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic by five academic centres, headed by the Institute of Czech History of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and the Masaryk Institute – Archives of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, to mark the 70th anniversary of Karel Kramář’s death and discuss his life and work.
