26.11. Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek will participate in the 1st session of the European Nuclear Forum in Bratislava

The 1st session of the Nuclear Forum will be held under the aegis of the European Union in Bratislava on 26th and 27th November.

Czech Minister Mirek Topolánek will take part in the expert discussion on the future of the nuclear power industry on the first day of the meeting, and will deliver one of the opening speeches.

Other opening speeches will be delivered by Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic R. Fico, European Commissioner for the power industry A. Piebalgs, and President of the European Commission J.M. Barosso will address the participants from a video recording. Chairpersons of the conference will include Slovak Minister of Economy L’. Jahnátek and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade M. Říman. The deliberations will result in the formulation of specific recommendations for the European Commission concerning further course of action to be taken in the field of nuclear power generation. Summit meetings of this focus will be held twice a year, alternately in Prague and Bratislava.
