December 18, 2007: Premier To Hand Over Keys to New Fire Engines

A total of 40 new fire engines will be lined up in Prague’s Hradčanské Square on Tuesday, December 18, 2007.

Attended by Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek and other distinguished guests, a ceremony of handing over brand-new fire-fighting technology to the Czech Republic’s Fire Rescue Corps will start at 10:00 a.m.

Keys to the fire-engines will be given to representatives of fourteen fire brigades from all over the country and the Fire-fighting Training Centre in Brno. This is the biggest single act of replacing the aging fire-fighting technology in the modern history of the Fire Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic.
