January 10, 2008:Innovation Forum To Be Held Under the Aegis of the Czech Premier;Press Conference at 8:15 a.m.

A prestigious gathering of experts called Innovation Forum 2008 will be held in Prague’s Lichtenštejnský Palace on Thursday, January 10, 2008, beginning at 10 a.m. Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek, who has taken over the auspices of the whole event, will also participate in the programme of the Forum. In his speech he will focus on the current and future activities of the Czech Government in the field of education, research and innovation. A press conference before the official opening of the Innovation Forum will be attended by Premier Mirek Topolánek, First Vice-Chairwoman of the Government Council for Research and Development Miroslava Kopicová, Ken Guy, a renowned consultant on innovation policies and research, Cambridge University Professor Rudolf Hoška, and Vladimír Mařík, head of the Cybernetics Department of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University.
