Premier Mirek Topolánek On a Working Visit to Dubai

During his working visit in Dubai, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek met the head of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry for talks on what are the chief interests of Czech investors in the region. Greatest demand for doing business in the region has been expressed by Czech developer companies as well as businessmen in the processing and food industries. An example of mutual cooperation was the signing of a contract on the delivery of steel structure for an airport in Abu Dhabi. The Czech Premier is accompanied on his visit by a large group of Czech businessmen.

“If the visit by the Czech Premier or President to the United Arab Emirates could or should open the door to promoting trade, then it is our duty to come. Both our countries are liberal and open, hence destined for fostering mutual contacts. Prague as well as Dubai are natural commercial centres. Prague is a gateway to Europe, Dubai to the Middle East and to Africa,“ said the Czech Premier after his talks.
